Orphan Sunday HOPE

Today, November 8th, is Orphan Sunday. Steven Curtis Chapman, Show Hope, and Cry of the Orphan put on an awesome Orphan Sunday special this evening. We watched it through a live webcast and I loved it! No matter how many times I hear the statistics on orphans worldwide, each time it still strikes me. There are 143 million orphans around the world today. Before, Sarah and Chayah were apart of that number. Today, they watched the broadcast with us, in our arms and cuddling on the couch watching the TV. They even jumped up and danced along with the adorable and excellent Children of the World Choir. Chayah sang along and excitedly said, "This is my favorite song!" when Steven Curtis Chapman sang Hillsong's "Mighty to Save". With speakers and music, it was just an awesome show!

Also, I just finished making a video to the song "Orphans of God" by Avalon.. For those of you who have followed for awhile, you may remember that I posted another one to this song a while back, this is the updated version to that one.. also, I made this one to specially feature Our Creator's HOPE: Helping with Orphan Placement Expenses.
Here's the video:

It's the..

..most wonderful time of the year! =)

Chayah and I were both very excited to be walking around Macy's the other day and see all the Christmas decorations up. It's just so beautiful! Christmas decorations and Christmas music and pretty much just everything about Christmas makes me happy. It's just wonderful!

This will be Chayah's first Christmas at home. That fact makes everything that I love so much about Christmas time even better! Seeing a bunch Christmas trees with all their decorations set up in store is a new "first" for her. Having missed 6 years of firsts, these little ones that we get are pretty special!!

Fun with Chayah

The other day I got to have Chayah for the afternoon for sister time. First, she got to ride in Yashi's (my) car for the very first time! We went to the store and she got to pick out a new barbie with a gift card that she got as a present. Next, we went to get a treat and then stopped by the video store to rent a dvd of Max and Ruby (Chayah's favorite show) before going back home. It was lots of fun to get to have a special day with Chayah! :)
In Yashi's car all ready to go!

At the store

Ice cream and french fries ;)

Love Without Boundaries

Love Without Boundaries is an organization that helps China's orphans. They have five main areas that they help through: medical, education, foster care, orphanage assistance, and healing homes. They do so much to help children, just like Sarah and Chayah. Be sure to check out their website and read up about what they're doing in China. It's awesome!! Oh, and they have some seriously adorable pictures of kids that they help up too (like the little one above- sooooo cute! im totally in love!)! :) There is a lot that each of us can do to support organizations like Love Without Boundaries, helping the children that are still in China, left as orphans. Visit their website at: http://www.lovewithoutboundaries.com/index.cfm
