Trip to Chuck E Cheese

A few weeks ago, we all decided to take the girls to Chuck E Cheese. They had wanted to go for some time, and are now campaigning to get to go back, so evidently they had a fun time! We all had fun running around with the girls and making a special fun day.

The machine kinda, umm.. broke?? and pretty much gave all possible tickets to Chayah!! Which is quite exciting when all the other machines only give you like one ticket each, and she got about 100 or more.. pretty awesome! =]

An Adoption Miracle.. One Year Ago

I saw you meet your child today,
you kissed your baby joyfully
and as you walked away with her,
I played pretend you'd chosen me.

I'm happy for the baby,
yet inside I'm aching miserably.
I want to plead as you go by,
Does no-one want a child of three?

I saw you meet your child today,
in love with her before you met.
And as I watched you take her out,
I knew it wasn't my turn yet.

I recognize you from last year!
I knew I'd seen your face before!
But you came for a second babe.
Does no-one want a child of four?

I saw you meet your child today
but this time there was something new:
A nurse came in and took MY hand
and then she gave my hand to you.

Can this be true? I'm almost six!
And there are infants here you see?
But then you kissed me and I knew
the child you chose this time was me.

January 11, 2009- Ch
ayah's Gotcha Day

One year ago today, Chayah officially joined our family. My parents and Sarah were in China and were finally able to hold Chayah in their arms. I remember seeing the pictures for the first time and it was just absolutely amazing that we finally had her!

Happy Gotcha, Chayah! I love you! You are so extremely silly and always make me laugh. You are an amazing little girl and I am so blessed to be one of your big sisters!

Cooking with Sarah and Chayah

At Kindergarten, the girls, along with their class, made a very special recipe book for Christmas. It is filled with lots of super yummy recipes and is very fun! Here are Sarah and Chayah's entries to their cookbook- so much fun! I'm proud of my sisters!

Dumplings, By Sarah

You need meat, I think 2 pieces of meat that are cut. Slice the meat. Put some soft lettuce in it, too. It is so crunchy. Cause when it gets baked, it's soft! Then you have to make the hard stuff that goes around that stuff. Put some, like flour. I think it would be a spoonful. Sugar, like a tiny bit. Water, like a bit more than the flour. First you mix it then put it in the oven for 6 little minutes or like a half minute for each one. The oven should be a million hot. It's done when it gets to the beep. Cause when it's talking to you, it's done. (Doesn't your oven sometimes talk to you? When it beeps, that's when it's talking.) Take it out of the oven and then try it. It should taste good so you do two thumbs up!

Banana Pie, By Chayah
salt- 1 jar
whip cream- 3 jars
4 jars of pineapple
6 yellow lemonade
6 bananas
7 corn (should I? No, eat the corn and then have the banana pie.)

Put it in a big pan or bowl and mix it. Put it in the pan, then smooth it out with your hands. First we wash our hands. Bake it in the oven for 70 or 7. Wait for the oven beep, then you check it and then you look at it and then you close it until there's another beep. Then you take it out and then it's done. The end!

Cheese Pizza, By Sarah
You would make the crust. To make the crust, I think it would be a bit of flour, 6 more little bits of water, mix it up. Make it flat on a pan and some sauce. Make it all around. And then melted cheese, like more than the water and put it on the sauce. Put it in the oven at a million hot. Leave it in about half an hour. Try it to see if it's good or not. If it's good, then you'd tell your family and come and eat it with you. If it's not good, you just put it in the garbage can.

Chicken, By Chayah
First put a oil in the pan, and then put some sauce on it. Put some tiny bit of water. Put 6 chicken in it. You need 6 for my family in this house. Cook it in one minute. The oven should be one hundred hot. Eat it with noodles.
